Ice Skating

Today Dallas had his 5th birthday party at McMillan Ice Arena. Dakota, Max and I have never ice skated before. We were a little shaky at first, but we got the hang of it pretty quick. Dakota was flying around everyone by the end of the party. Max also did very well, but still liked to stay close to rail just in case. I also did pretty well for my first time. The only problem was that the skates hurt our feet pretty bad. Next time we will know to bring lots of extra socks.

Dakota's Saturday by Dakota Adams

It's Saturday. It's Dallas's birthday party. I went ice skating. I didn't have school. I got a blister on my foot. It was my first time ice skating and I was very good. It's night time. Fog Day

The kids had a fog day today. They were home all day playing and having fun. It was 51 degrees outside so the boys went outside to ride their bikes. They had lots of fun but they also got pretty muddy.

Dakota's Thursday by Dakota Adams

It's Thursday. I didn't have school. I had a delay. It was froggy outside. We were all three in the shower today Dakota, Max and Oliver. We are watching Survivor. It's night time. Dewey, Dewey, Dewey

Dakota had piano lessons today. We have to wait about 45 min. after school until Dakota's lesson begins. We usually go to the library and hang out. I was helping Oliver with the computer games when Max came up and said he had the book he wanted to check out. The book was titled 'The Pocket Guide to Mischief.' Imagine my surprise when the one book Max finds in the whole library is a guide to help him get into more trouble. The crazy thing is that Max can't read so he had no idea what the book was even about. And that's why we call him Dewey.

Dakota's Wednesday by Dakota Adams

It's Wednesday. I had a piano game today. I had school. I had chapel. I had a time test. I'm the first one on -4's. I didn't have gym. I was sliding down the slide a different way. The second graders did it too. It hurts but it is fun. We climb the ladder and then slide down the pole instead of the slide. It is fun. The End P.S. Mom talked to Blake's mom. P.P.S. Oliver and his talking

Oliver is quite the talker lately. Since I have been home he has been turning into a little bit of a mommy's boy. When he gets hurt or gets in trouble he says, "I want my mommy." He even says that when I put him in his bed, usually. Tonight he said, "Mom leave me alone." What a little stinker. Who wanted him to learn how to talk anyway.

4-H is starting

Autym is old enough to be in regular 4-H this year. I am helping her with her projects. She has signed up for: Basic Crafts, Sewing, Scrapbooking and Foods. She has been coming over on Tuesdays and learning how to sew. She also likes to help me make supper. She is becoming quite the little Martha Stewart that also races dirt bikes.

Max hurt me twice by Dakota Adams

It's Monday. I had school. I had gym. Max hurt me twice. Mom almost lost Max at school. He was in the preschool room cleaning up sand. It's bedtime. The end.

Max's Trouble Day

Max seemed to be having trouble today. Or I mean staying out of trouble day. The first time I heard Dakota screaming I asked Max what happened and he said, "It doesn't matter I'm in timeout." He had even set the timer for himself. The second time he made Dakota cry he again put himself in timeout. I guess he has been there a few times and knows the drill. And again that is why we call him Dewey.

Puzzle Mania

The boys have been spending the weekend putting puzzles together. They really do enjoy putting puzzles together. I came downstairs Sunday morning and instead of watching TV or playing video games they were putting more puzzles together. Dakota wants to put together a 1000 piece puzzle. We have tried the puzzle twice and have given up. The pieces are super tiny and it takes forever just to sort the edges from the insides. He wants to have it going all the time and when people come over they might want to help. The only problem with this is a little man named Oliver. He wants to help and all the pieces end up on the floor.

I have been skipping around in my piano practice book. It's Friday. Grandpa and Grandma Adams came over. I had school. I had gym. I finished my -2 time tests. Now I am on my -3 test. My picked me up late. I didn't watch cartoons today. The end

We started piano lessons!

Today Dakota started his piano lessons. I think his teacher is a real find. (Thanks Janell) Her name is Gwen Gerig. She has taught music for many years. Her husband was in my Grandpa Gerbers class and sings in a choir with my Grandma Reichhart. We will continue lessons every Wednesday at 3:00.

I had piano practice today by Dakota Adams

I had my first practice on my piano. My teachers name is Mrs. Gerig. Now I know how to play three songs. It's Wednesday. I walked to chapel today. It rained. We had two recesses inside the gym. We are watching Knight Rider. It's night time. I had basketball. Today I got a basketball at basketball because it was our last game. My team didn't win. I had school. The End.

Oliver had a DVD. Mom has two eyeballs. Oliver's coat is on the couch. Oliver hit head on the toilet. He was getting out of the bathtub and he fell. Dakota plays lots of video games. I got the letter bag today. I have to fill it with things that start with 'R'. Our house is huge. Dakota has no shirt on. I have a real football that I got yesterday. I don't talk to dad that much. I played bean bags today at school. We had our valentine's party. We made a mail box one day. I made a Hersey kiss. I got lots of valentines. I could do heart cards. I made a heart. We got a new piano. Dad taught me to play Mary had a little lamb. I pretty good at piano. Mom says if it's OK with the lady I can take lesson too.

Nail in the foot

I can't believe it, my horse got a nail in its hoof. I guess all my modes of transportation have got a flat tire lately. I'm glad it is not summer or my bike tire would probably be flat also. Maybe someone is telling me to walk on my own two feet.

I had school. It's Monday. I had gym. I learned about clocks. Actually I am learning about clocks. I went to Abby the babysitters house and she picked me up from school. And that is all the end.

Last Day of New Haven Basketball

Today was the last day of basketball in New Haven. The boys got a basketball instead of a trophy.

The boys being crazy

The boys were being a little crazy today. They were helping me bring the laundry down from upstairs. Max decided he wanted to dress like dad. Dakota is wear my long riding socks and shoes. I guess anything will entertain the kids.

We are from Indiana

I guess the boys are official Hoosiers. It was 36 degrees and they thought it was spring. They wouldn't wear their hats or coats. Dakota said mom it's warm Spring is here. Only in Indiana is 36 degrees warm. You might also notice that they are standing on about 15 inches of snow.

Pizza in my pajamas

Max is studying the letter 'P'. He had pizza in your pajamas day. All the kids got to wear their PJ's to school. Oliver got to come to school with Max also. They also got to make pizza's of their own.

Dakota's Friday by Dakota Adams

It's Friday. I had gym. I have a hole in my sock. I had school. I'm not going to have school until Monday. I got picked up inside the car line because Max didn't have school. We had a math time test today. I got all my mixed up problems right. I had two white socks, blue jeans, a blue, red, yellow shirt. The End.

I had a basketball game by Dakota Adams

I had basketball with Max. I got 6 points, 2 rebounds and 1 steal. I think I'm the first one to get a steal. I had school. It's Wednesday. It's the 101th day of school. I am the only one going on to the lots of mixed up math time test. Mom, Max and Oliver picked me up and not Dallas today. On the 100th day of school we did lots of things. We took 100 steps right and 100 steps left. And our 100 strips are still hanging up. We counted by 5's to 100 really loud. We we counted to 100 by 10's really loud. That was on Tuesday the 100th day. We had a 100 snack. And I ate some of the 100 day snack. The snack had 100 crackers, pretzel sticks, M&M's, mini marshmallows x2, popcorn, candies, chocolate chips, and I forget the rest. And the End.

No internet

Sorry there hasn't been any entries lately. The internet has been down. My luck has not really changed. Sunday on way to clean stalls I got a flat tire. The kind of flat where the rim is sitting on the road. Not good. I've decided not to worry about the bad luck. Maybe it is good luck and I just don't know it. What if I got a flat tire so I wouldn't get in an accident on my way to the horses? I guess I'll never know.
