It's a Potty Miracle
Why didn't anyone ever tell me about the naked butt potty training with my other kids. It has been a miracle. I am almost ready to say Oliver is potty trained. He went all day yesterday with pants and stayed dry. He woke up this morning and had a dry diaper. Tomorrow we are going to try big boy underwear. The amazing part is that he doesn't even tell me when he has to go he just goes and does it himself. I asked him just a little bit ago if he had to go potty and he said, " Me did I a good boy." I am about to throw my no more diaper party.

Update
So far Max is fine. I guess putting a bird egg in your mouth isn't as bad as I thought.
The naked butt potty training is going pretty well. He had piddled on the floor twice but I haven't had to change as many poopy diapers either. Next week is spring break so we should be able to totally concentrate on the potty training.

WARNING DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU GET GROSSED OUT EASILY!!
WARNING - DO NOT READ THIS ENTRY IF YOU GET GROSSED OUT EASILY.
I know everyone has a brother made me do it story, but this one has got to take the cake. Dakota and Max were outside playing after school. Dakota gave Max a white ball and told him it was a piece of gum. Max thought oh great a piece of gum. He asked Dakota where he got it and Dakota told him on the ground. So Max being Max thought, "Ok great free gum". Never mind that it was outside on the ground his brother said it was gum. He bit into it to find ......... you guessed it it was a bird egg. How disgusting. I called the doctor and he said to brush his teeth and just watch him for diarrhea. I had to have a talk with Max about not just blindly putting things in our mouth. What a Dewey

Our First Poop in the Potty
We have started a new potty training method for Oliver. He runs around all day at home with nothing covering his naked butt. I know this seems a little dog like but it really does work we have been doing it for two days and have only had one accident (and it was my fault). Finally last night we got our first poop in the potty. I know this seems pretty gross, but when you are trying to potty train a two year old this is a great accomplishment. Everyone swears that this method will train kids in one week. I guess we will see.

Dakota's Wednesday by Dakota Adams
It's Wednesday. I had school. Oliver is taking pictures of me. Today I had a Wednesday. I had chapel. Mom and Max and Oliver picked me up. I had a piano game. I learned what a half note dot. Oliver is being funny. Dad isn't home yet. Yesterday the leprechauns trashed our room at school while we were gone. The End
Oh that Oliver
Sometimes I forget how kids take things very literally. I was getting ready to meet a client today for a last minute meeting. I told Oliver that I was going to have to find someone to watch him because I couldn't have him hanging on my leg. He said, "Mom which leg? this one?" as he was pointing to my leg. I guess he wanted to start hanging on the correct leg. I better watch what I say or I could have him playing in traffic. I r emember the famous quote from my childhood - "Why don't you just go play in traffic." Good thing I never listened to that one.

Spring has Sprung
Spring has sprung. Today it was 60 degrees and sunny. It was absolutely beautiful. The boys and I went on our first bike ride of the year. Everyone is a little bit bigger this year so we had to adjust the helmets and move up the seats. We also had to pump up the bike tires. Dakota asked if we could go on a long ride. We probably rode about 3 miles. I think Oliver likes the bike rides the most and he doesn't even peddle. He rides in a carrier on the back of my bike. I am sure this is the beginning of many more bike rides. Riding bikes is one of the boys favorite things to do in the summer.

Ear Plugs by Max Adams
It's Uncle Travis's birthday. I called him and wished him a Happy Birthday. I went to school. I played at school. I did centers. I made a turtle or a tiger. I played with trains and blocks. I played with toothpicks that were in jail. I figured out what is good food and what is not good food. I went down to the gym. Then I played freeze tag. I came back from the gym. I got ready to go home.

Max the big reader
Max was pretty excited today. He read 3 book by himself. They are very simple books the same ones that Dakota started with. Max is going to to great next year in kindergarten.
Dakota does flashcards everyday. Oliver has started helping Dakota with the answers. The only thing is that the flashcard question will be 12-7 and Oliver will say the answer is 'D'. Not even close but at least he is trying to do homework. He wants to school so bad.

Picky Feet
Most people know that we have a son that is a picky eater - Dakota. We also have a picky feet guy. Max has the pickiest feet you will ever meet. His socks have to be on just right or forget it. The laces also have to be tied tight with a double knot or forget it. We have been late more than once waiting on Max to get his shoes and socks just right. Today we went to Kohl's to get Max a new pair of shoes. In the whole store Max found one pair that he liked. And wouldn't you know it but they don't have his size. So we left the store without new shoes. I guess we will be on a shoe hunt.
